About This Position

Lead a team of quantity surveyors working on rail projects and providing guidance and support as needed to internal and external customers.

The Senior Quantity Surveyor is expected to collaborate with project managers, rail engineers, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure rail project objectives are met.

As the Quantity Surveyor you will provide procurement advice and work with customers to develop estimates, tender documentation, process and evaluation tools.

The Quantity Surveyor will provide technical support on contract interpretation, negotiation and wider commercial strategies for internal and external customers.

To lead and continuously improve change management, commercial forecasting and reporting, working closely with other functions.

The Quantity Surveyor will ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and contractual obligations, including those specific to rail infrastructure and government procurement processes.

To seek out opportunities to add value in customer delivery and future propositions.

Person Specification
 •  Degree or equivalent in Quantity Surveying
 •  Experience gained in a quantity surveying role
 •  Extensive knowledge of NEC contracts
 •  Professional Membership of RICS or MICES is desired
 •  Experience gained on rail infrastructure projects is beneficial but not essential
