My client is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor who wants to progress within the next 6- 12 months into a Managing Quantity Surveyor
You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of cost management and procurement for new build housing projects across the North East.
This includes budgeting, tendering, contract administration, and cost control throughout the construction process.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare accurate cost estimates and budgets for New Build Housing developments.
• Procure subcontractor packages and negotiate favourable terms and conditions.
• Manage contract documentation and administer contracts in accordance with industry standards.
• Monitor project costs and provide regular financial reports to stakeholders.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and value engineering solutions.
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.
• Mentor and provide guidance to junior members of the QS team.
What experience, qualifications and skills are we looking for?
• Experience within the house building industry is essential.
• Understanding of HSE building regulations and legal guidelines.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
