Position Overview: As Site Manager, you will be responsible for managing all on-site activities to ensure the successful delivery of a new build housing scheme in York. You will oversee the construction process, coordinate subcontractors, and ensure that health and safety standards are maintained at all times.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing residential construction projects and a strong commitment to quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage day-to-day operations on the construction site, including scheduling, resource allocation, and subcontractor coordination.
Ensure that the project is delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Implement and enforce health and safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe working environment for all workers and subcontractors.
Liaise with the client, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure that project requirements are understood and met.
Monitor progress against the construction program and take corrective action as necessary to keep the project on track.
Conduct regular site inspections to identify and address any issues or defects promptly.
Manage site documentation, including permits, drawings, specifications, and quality control records.
