Cnc Setter Operator Programmer

One Call Consultants are currently looking for a CNC Programmer for a very good client of ours based in Willenhall.
This is a Permanent Role for the right person.
Detailed Daily Tasks
• Read drawings and job travelers to determine machining to be done, dimensional specifications, set up and operating requirements.
• Locate and download programs from our server storage.
• Identify, select, and install correct tooling for operations being performed.
• Calculate proper feeds and speeds for a variety of stainless-steel grades and exotic materials.
• Read, understand and where necessary edit CNC programs, on Fanuc and Mitsubishi controls system.
• Understand applicable quality systems and perform necessary quality inspections.
• Apply principles of Lean Manufacturing to reduced setup times and improve productivity.
• Seek out and identify Continuous Improvement opportunities.
• Uses precision measuring instruments and gauging devices.
• Properly identify components after assembly/manufacture.
• Visually inspects final components.
• Create and maintain a team focused work environment.
• Responsible for general housekeeping and cleanliness of working area.
• Support “Best Practices” to achieve company goals for safety, delivery, cost and quality.
Skills and Experience
• Requires in-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes.
• Ability to read complex engineering drawings.
• Be time served in a machining discipline.
• Have a relevant Health and Safety awareness.
• Previous experience in a similar industry is preferable (specialist fasteners/exotic materials).
• Experience working with various machine control systems, including Fanuc and Mitsubishi.
• Promotes diversity of ideas.
• Prior experience with precision inspection equipment including, but not limited to, micrometers, calipers, thread gauges, height gauges and bore gauges.
• Proven ability to hold tight machining tolerances.
• Inspires and motivates others around them.
• Must be self-motivated and possess facilitation skills to be used in a team setting.
• Able to manage multiplate priorities with a bias towards action and speed.
Qualifications:
• GCSE’s (or equivalent)
• Apprentice trained (desirable)
• HNC in Engineering (desirable)
