About Our Client

Our client is a market leader, working across europe within the manufacturing industry. They are actively seeking their next team member for the Technicial Engineering department and are offering a fantastic salary and working environment

Job Description
 •  Plan, prioritise and complete the Planned Preventive Maintenance program for the site (proactive)
 •  Complete fault finding in breakdown situations to minimize equipment downtime (reactive), including:
 •  Thin film coating machines control systems - PLC / HMi
 •  Vacuum chambers and associated equipment
 •  Various vacuum pump sets - Diffusion / Turbo / Rotary / Roots
 •  Pneumatic valves
 •  Measurement gauges
 •  Ensure all records of the proactive and reactive maintenance above are correct and up to date
 •  Develop the current maintenance systems to Continuously Improve site efficiency
 •  Maintain equipment spares stock to ensure parts are available, when required (define critical and non-critical requirements)
 •  Manage maintenance budget for equipment spares and repairs
 •  Arrange and manage service contract, inspection and calibration requirements for specified equipment including:
 •  Water chillers
 •  Compressors
 •  Environmental testing equipment
 •  Air conditioning
 •  Pressure vessels
 •  Lifting equipment
 •  Plan and implement building maintenance and improvements
 •  Assist with ISO audits to provide inspection and calibration documentation for maintenance records
 •  Liaise with all departments to maintain good lines of communication
 •  Ensure safety and environmental policies are adhered to in accordance with Umicore standards, including:
 •  COSHH
 •  Risk assessments
 •  PPE
 •  Other duties deemed relevant to the role

The Successful Applicant
 •  Time-Served maintenance engineer - Electrical maintenance bias
 •  Electrical qualification - 17th or 18th edition (desireable but not essential)
 •  Have experience in fault diagnosis and problem solving on electrical and mechanical equipment
 •  Previous experience working with vacuum, optical coating equipment and facilities management an advantage, but not essential
 •  A proactive mindset and a flexible approach to work
 •  Comfortable working independently and as part of our team
 •  Awareness of 5S and continuous improvement methodologies
 •  Wants to contribute to and benefit from a safe working environment
 •  Basic Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel)
 •  Excellent organisation skills
 •  Excellent communication skills
