White Label are excited to be working with a specialist Power Transmission / Rotating Equipment Engineering Business that specialise in the Service & Repair of Power Transmission products including Gearboxes and other associated equipment.
They are currently searching for an Aftermarket Area Sales Engineer to be based in the North West / Midlands – selling the Service & Repair capabilities and contracts to a wide range of industries including as wind turbines, water, renewable energy, power generation, materials manufacturers, etc.
The Role:
• The successful candidate ideally needs to live in the North West or North Midlands.
• This position will be around 50/50 Account Management to New Business Development
• This is a home-based position but will need to go to the office 1-2 times a week in the North West. An average week may look like 3 days on the road visiting customers, 1 day in the office, and 1 day in their home office.
• This person will be responsible for selling the service and repair of gearboxes and associated equipment. This could include on-site inspections, planned shutdowns and breakdown, replacement gearboxes/ associated equipment, the full range of services, replacement of parts, reverse engineering of parts, etc.
• The main focus will be on full-service contracts as well as ad hoc jobs.
• Will be targeting industries such as wind turbines, water, renewable energy, power generation, materials manufacturers, etc
• Will most likely be selling to Engineering and Maintenance Managers as well Purchasing departments.
• Will be responsible for managing own diary and workload.
The Person:
• Have a proven track record of service sales.
• Must have strong Business Development skills as well as the ability to develop existing accounts
• Ideally have experience in the field of gearbox service and repair, but will consider experience selling service contracts for the service of other engineered products such Pumps, Rotating Equipment or associated etc
• Be able to read technical drawings and have a strong understanding of Engineering.
• Must be a strong relationship builder
• Ability to negotiate at high levels and secure long-term service contracts
Salary & Package:
• Competitive salary – dependent on experience
• Car allowance
• Company Bonus Scheme
• 25 days holiday + BH – increasing after 2 years by 1 day and then every year after then until a max of 30 days +BH
• Company pension scheme
