Deputy Service Managers with a passion for enhancing the quality of life of the people we support are at the heart of our management teams. We’re currently searching for a fantastic Deputy Service Manager to join us in leading our residential service in Retford.
This service is a welcoming and friendly environment with a dynamic team that supports a fantastic group of people! Mason House is a residential care home providing specialist support to meet the needs of people living with Prader-Willi syndrome.
Although there is no cure for Prader-Willi syndrome, our goal is to help people lead healthy, fulfilling lives with support from an expert team who understand the condition.

Within the main home, Mason house can support up to six adults, plus there’s two external flats – perfect for those looking for more independent living. Alongside our six en-suite bedrooms, there’s lots of communal areas within this home, including a spacious lounge, kitchen, dining room, and conservatory.
We have a spacious garden, which is perfect for getting active and playing games outdoors, as wells as an allotment plot, ideal for planting fruit and vegetables – our way of encouraging a healthy lifestyle for the people we support.

Our Deputy Service Managers will be responsible for managing a team of colleagues with the purpose of helping people to gain more independence in their daily lives. You could be developing and implementing person centred support plans, conducting care needs assessments, recruiting and inducting new colleagues, completing supervisions/appraisals, completing medication competencies and medication audits, attending mutli-disciplinary meetings, completing reports and generally assisting the Registered Manager in the day-to-day management of our service.
You’ll never lose sight of why you choose to do this, as our Deputy Service Managers play a central role in team leadership and have a hands-on approach to care management.

You will also take part in the on-call rota (although this may be subject to change depending on the needs of the service).
This is an amazing role for someone who is looking to really make a difference to the lives of others, whether that’s helping our colleagues grow in confidence or the people we support gain independence so that they meet their goals.
We’re interested in our Deputy Service Managers having both the right experience and the right values. This is why at this service our Deputy Service Manager should have previous experience in a care management role and a Level 3 in Health & Social Care as well as experience working with individuals with autism, acquired brain injury, complex individuals with mental health needs, traumatic backgrounds and challenging behaviours.

Why choose us?
We embrace people’s differences and encourage you to Be You, and so long as you’ve got the passion to make someone’s life better, we can give you all the skills and development opportunities you need to build a great career.
We encourage our staff to Grow Together through our excellent training programme, starting at induction and following you through your career, with opportunity for promotion and progression as well as job security in a sector leading organisation.

Don't hesitate to apply today and make a real difference to the lives of the people we're supporting!
