Job Title: Clinician Site Lead
Location: Higford School, Shropshire
Salary: £50,000 - £60,000, (dependent on experience)
Hours: 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday
Contract: Permanent, 52 weeks

About the role

We are looking for a Lead Clinician to join our in-house Clinical Team at Higford School based in Shropshire. Working collaboratively with the site, you will deliver bespoke assessment and intervention plans for our pupils with developmental trauma, autism, ADHD, complex and SEMH needs.
You will also be responsible for the line management of the members of the onsite clinical team.

You will be responsible for holding the therapy caseload with the full support of our well-established and knowledgeable clinical network and growing Clinical Team, you will also contribute to staff training and consultation. Both a challenging and rewarding role, this position would suit a resilient and enthusiastic individual, with a therapeutic approach and the ability to make decisions, as well as manage their own workload and supervise others.

Working within overall framework of the service policies and procedures, you will be supporting the integration of the specific service in the day to day running of each provision i.e., standardised assessments and clinical services. A key aspect of the role will be to deliver the wellbeing and clinical rainbow strategy at a universal, enhanced and specialist level to support our wider teams in meeting our pupils’ needs in line with set Education, Health Plan (EHCP).

Essential Criteria:

 •  Recognised degree in either, Occupational Therapy, Speech & Language Therapy, Clinical Psychology or Psychotherapy.
 •  Valid and up to date HCPC Registration
 •  Registered member of RCSLT
 •  Previous experience of paid or voluntary work within a trauma or complex needs setting
 •  Clear and concise report writing relating to clinical and research activities
 •  Experience of providing supervision and supporting a therapy team
 •  Ability to work independently
 •  Experience within the specialist client group. (complex communication issues relating to autism, including language disorder, dyspraxia, sensory impairment, learning disabilities/difficulties and associated challenging behaviour)
 •  Experience of multi-professional work with teams or services within the designated specialty preferred
