Software Engineer- UK Based Remote Role.

We are seeking a talented and motivated Software Engineer with expertise in PHP, MySQL, and other relevant technologies to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in developing and maintaining ERP and WMS applications, as well as integrating with Web Services using REST and SOAP protocols.
Knowledge of XSL and XSLT for data transformation is highly desirable. This individual will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining software solutions that streamline our business operations and enhance our service offerings.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop, maintain, and enhance PHP-based applications for ERP and WMS systems.
• Design and implement MySQL database schemas, queries, and optimisations to support application requirements.
• Integrate with external systems and services using Web Services (REST and SOAP) for data exchange and interoperability.
• Develop XSL/XSLT stylesheets for transforming XML data formats as needed for various purposes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, design solutions, and deliver high-quality software products.
• Perform code reviews, testing, and debugging to ensure software quality and reliability.
• Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends related to ERP, WMS, and Web Services.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
• years of experience in software development, with expertise in PHP programming and MySQL database development.
• Experience with ERP and/or WMS systems, including customisation, integration, and maintenance.
• Strong understanding of Web Services architecture, protocols, and standards, including REST and SOAP.
• Proficiency in XSL and XSLT for data transformation and presentation.
• Solid understanding of software development best practices, including version control, testing, and documentation.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication and collaboration abilities.
• Experience with Agile development methodologies is a plus.
