Salford Care Organisation is responsible for a range of community and primary care services across the city of Salford, including adult social care. It also provides specialist services to Greater Manchester and beyond.
Home to the Manchester Centre for Clinical Neurosciences and the Geoffrey Jefferson Brain Research Centre, we’re also a University Teaching Trust with a team dedicated to training and educating clinicians of the future.?
RESPONSIBLE FOR:
• To participate in & develop the scientific & technical activities of the department
• Act as a mentor and provide supervision/training for more junior scientific & support staff
• To be responsible for the standard and quality of results issued
• To participate in cross site working between Wigan and Salford as and when required. (It is anticipated that in the future, duties could include work based at any of the sites within PAWS or the Northern Care Alliance.)
To be successful in applying for this role you will need:
• HCPC Registered Biomedical Scientist
• BSc (Hons) in Biomedical Sciences (IBMS approved) or approved alternative science degree plus post graduate certificate in Biomedical Science or equivalent
• Minimum 2 years post registration laboratory training
Specialist knowledge across a range of work procedures and practices underpinned by theoretical knowledge
