M4 Recruitment are working with a well-established precision engineering company based in Swindon.
They are specialist in the production of long-lasting components from Nickel based alloys. They predominantly service the defence, aerospace, power generation, oil & gas and food industries.
This role is a 4 day working week 0 working Monday - Wednesday (Apply online only) and Thursday (Apply online only).
Reporting directly to the shopfloor supervisor.
The responsibilities of the role will include:
• Setting and Operating CNC Lathes
• Creating, reading and adjusting programs, changing offsets and setting work-shifts
• Operating a wide range of measurement devices, procedures and machining techniques
• Ability to perform complex machining processes, which may include prototype products
• Ability to produce new programs from drawing for parts, for new and existing customers
• Ability to perform inspections duties, measuring and documenting from inspection reports and where applicable be able to use CMM Machines as and when required
Requirements for the role:
• A minimum of 3 years experience working on CNC Lathes
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings
• GCSE C or equivalent in Mathmatics
• Ability to work on own initiative
• Experience of operating Fanuc and/or Heidenhain machines
