Site Engineer (A55 Corridor)
This regional office of major UK Civil Engineering contractor has now become a dominant force in the Rail Engineering market . With an experienced team at its core they are able to undertake a variety of projects from Highways, Structures and Infrastructure.
To continue on their successful growth programme and meet their loyal client’s needs they are needing to recruit a Site Engineer to the already successful team. The successful candidate can expect excellent career opportunities, not just in the regional business, but also in the national group company as well.
Position: Site Engineer
Location: North Wales (A55 Corridor)
Package: Negotiable
Duties
• Promoting and lead the site safety culture
• Ensuring all works are carried out in a planned, controlled, and safe manner, in accordance with statutory regulations, current standards and the Company SHEQ standards
• Recording any Near Misses on the Near Miss Cards
• Reviewing Site Operations with Site Agents to ensure that any works being undertaken outside of the Contract Requirements are raised
• Monitoring the delivery of the project and identify risks and opportunities to optimise project delivery
• Ensuring required Setting Out is undertaken in timely manner using the latest Design Information to enable operations to progress effectively
• Reviewing Inspection and Test Plans with the Site Agent and ensure the required inspections and testing is undertaken and documented in the relevant file in accordance with the Project Management Plan
• Reviewing all relevant design information and raise Technical Queries where required
• Ensuring all works are undertaken in accordance with the RAMS and that Hold Points are adhered to and actioned accordingly
Background
• Educated to a degree, HNC or Equivalent
• Experience in civil engineering or the built environment
• Good Communication skills
• An ability to plan and organise works safely and efficiently
