JOB- Mechanical Design Engineer
LOCATION- Manchester
TERM- Permanent
SALARY- £45,000 - £50,000 per annum (plus benefits)
One of my top clients in the Manchester area is looking to expand their design team by taking on a Mechanical Design Engineer to work with them on some amazing projects. My client is a manufacturer of specialist equipment for a variety of sectors.
They’re looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team near Manchester on a permanent basis.
The Mechanical Design Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:
Knowledge/ Experience of Mechanical Design
Engineering qualification (BEng, MEng, HND, HNC, BSc etc.) in Mechanical Engineering
Excellent 3D cad skills - preferably Solidworks
hydraulics experience
Mechanical manufacturing environment
Sheet metal design
machine design experience
The Mechanical Design Engineer role will involve:
Producing engineering documents in line with contracts and projects
Producing 3D designs using CAD software
Generating the BOM’s to go with the associated designs
Liaising with colleagues on other engineering tasks as required
