About the role
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Assistant Reporting Accountant to join our Finance team based at our modern, purpose-built offices in Trafford Park (close to Media City and the Trafford Centre). This person will be responsible for assisting will all aspects of the Group Finance Team.
Key Responsibilities
• Assist with the preparation of monthly Board Report using consolidation software (excel and word)
• Use software to develop new MI reports
• Analysis of overheads and posting of journals
• Assist with collation of budget data
• Prepare IFRS 16 entries for a number of Group entities
• Assist in preparation of statutory accounts for a number of Group entities
• Assist with preparation of submissions to HMRC (including PAYE self-assessment)
• Assist with preparation of Payment Practices reporting
Essential Skills
• AAT Level 3 or by experience in the role
• Excellent organisational and communication skills
• Ability to work to deadlines
• Excellent attention to detail
• Good IT skills, particularly Word & Excel are required
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn is key
• Ability to work on own initiative and work as part of a team
• Ability to adapt to changes in the environment and workload
• Be self-motivated
