As a ZeroAvia Sheet Metal Worker, you will support the Kemble Production Department in the manufacture and assembly of parts for ground and flight-based projects. You will operate primarily in the Machine Workshop producing piece parts and provide further support in production assembly activities and business support projects.
Requirements
• Manufacture of sheet metal parts using manual techniques and a CNC Press Brake.
• Program and adjust CNC Press Brake settings to ensure accurate and efficient manufacturing.
• Monitor CNC Press Brake processes to maintain quality and troubleshoot any issues that arise.
• Interpret technical drawings and documents to manufacture parts and assemblies with a high degree of accuracy.
• Perform routine inspection & maintenance on machines and equipment to ensure optimal performance and prevent breakdowns.
• Collaborate with the Production Lead & engineering teams to meet project goals and deadlines.
• Treat safety risk management as a priority to maintain a safe, healthy, and clean working environment.
• Maintain comprehensive production records and documentation in accordance with company procedures.
• Strictly adhere to all company processes and procedures.
• Proactively develop new skills and competencies outside core skill set to further support the department.
• Any other tasks as detailed by the Production Manager.
Qualifications:
• A precision engineering manufacturing background - working on components that are supplied into advanced manufacturing sectors such as Aerospace, Medical, MOD or Motorsport.
• Proven experience as a sheet metal worker in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
• Knowledgeable & experienced in the tooling and manufacturing techniques associated with producing high tolerance parts with a CNC Press Brake and manual manufacturing equipment e.g., guillotine, sheet metal folder.
• Experienced working with aluminium sheet metal using manual and automatic equipment.
• Experienced in the setup and operation of a CNC Press Brake.
• Excellent mechanical aptitude and ability to work with various tools and equipment.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and documents.
• Strong knowledge of machining tools, techniques, and materials.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to producing precise and high-quality work.
• Effective problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Flexible approach to work and a high level of drive and ambition to help achieve the organisation's goals.
• Experience of the setup and operation of other Machine Workshop equipment is desirable but not essential e.g. lathe, milling machine and CNC router.
• Aerospace experience desirable but not essential.
• The willingness to learn new skills and competencies outside your core skills is essential.
• A genuine passion for clean technology and a future of electric aviation.
