Job Title: HVAC Project Manager
Location: Stotfold, Hitchin
Salary: £65K - £70K + Significant Project GP bonus + Company Vehicle
The Role:
• Responsible for all HVAC aspects of commercial, industrial and educational projects
• Handle around 5-7 projects at any time of medium value (£100K – 300K typical, some a little larger)
• Working with their pre-construct team to finalise a design, liaising with the client for their approval, surveying and ordering all materials including ductwork and machinery, organising labour teams to complete works and then seeing the project through to completion with customer approval and commissioning.
• Surveying the job on site after order, liaising with Pre-con design team on design requirements, confirming access requirements for plant
• Confirming BOMs / qualifying the need and quantity of materials to be ordered
• Making sure health, safety & welfare is maintained and adhered to at project/site level.
• Managing projects from contract signature stage, through all phases until handover to the end user.
• Liaise with sales team on the design for the job, take on design responsibility from sales team.
• Instructing purchase orders to the Project Assistant (PA)
• Instructing / communications of invoicing and variations to the PA
-Diary management for subcontractors and day to day management of up to 2-3 pairs.
• Role based between office and sites.
• Standard working hours: 8-5 Mon-Fri
• Reporting to the Director.
The Company:
• 30+ years’ experience delivering HVAC/Ventilation projects throughout the UK.
• Offices based in Stotfold, Hitchin
• Specialise in providing solutions for Air Quality, including fume and dust extraction, central vacuum systems, odour control and climate control systems.
• This company currently has a turnover in the region of £3-4m per year and have around 20 direct employees. Also use regulars subcontractors, approx. additional 25.
• This hire is due to the company growth. Winning more and more work.
The Ideal Candidate:
• Mechanical or HVAC knowledge would be extremely useful
• Will have previous experience working on commercial, industrial or educational projects worth upwards of £300K
• Will hold a CSCS and/or skill card (The Company are able to support the obtaining of this, if required)
• Strong management skills
• Will work well under pressure to meet deadline
• Will have excellent communication skills
• Will be happy to travel across the UK to different projects when required
