Maintenance Controller

You will be responsible for repairing, replacing and maintaining all machinery and structures on site in an efficient and professional manner, either as part of a team or on some occasions by yourself as required. Working in our Newport Fridge Plant site, the successful candidate will be part of a team working under the supervision of a knowledgeable and supportive Maintenance Manager.

This role is based on a 3 shift pattern - mornings/afternoons/nights
Key Responsibilities
 •  Front-line maintenance contractor safety management
 •  Understanding of Risk assessment/POWRA for maintenance jobs
 •  Ensure safety and housekeeping in workshop and plant
 •  Adopt and promote a Zero Harm workplace attitude, drive improvement in Health and Safety
 •  Liaise and maintain regular contact with Maintenance Manager
 •  Provide holiday / sickness / absence cover for Maintenance Controller role
 •  Undertakes maintenance according to the weekly plan and at weekends when required (mechanical / electrical, corrective / preventive)
 •  Maintains engineering workshop and booking in/out of parts with Maintenance Manager
 •  Coordinate suppliers, to include raising quotations for parts and services
 •  Ensures availability of parts / critical spares working with Maintenance Manager
 •  Perform such other duties as the Company may from time to time reasonably require
 •  Comply with all Company policies related to Code of Conduct, Environmental, Health and Safety and Community.
