Are you an experienced care professional who is looking for a rewarding career?

We have a vacancy for a professional and friendly female support worker to assist a 13-year-old with cerebral palsy, in his own home and in the community, as part of an established team.
This post would ideally suit someone who enjoys supporting clients in achieving their rehabilitation goals, animals and baking. You must have a sense of humour, be open to enjoying a cheeky chap’s banter and have the energy and skill to take part in a game of Tag!
Duties of the Female Support Worker:
Your duties will include assisting him with his mobility, personal care, social and leisure activities, administration of medication and following therapy programs set by therapists.
Hours and rate of pay:
This role is currently for weekends, however this will increase over time and more assistance will be required during the school holidays. This is a part-time role of 25 hours per week, paying £15 per hour, depending on experience.

Key skills, knowledge and experience:
 •  You should have previous experience of working as a female support worker.
 •  You should have a full Driving Licence – this is essential.
 •  You should be trained to NVQ/Diploma Level 2 in Health and Social Care, and/or have the Care Certificate (or have equivalent experience e.g., completed year 1/level 4 of a recognised health profession degree course)
