We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Flintshire to assist with the appointment of an Administration Assistant, on a 1.5-month contract, highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.
Rate of Pay: £12.21 - £14.85 per hour
Summary:
Administration, maintenance and supporting the development of all Benefits services, including providing technical support to the wider Benefits service, collating financial and performance related information for the service.
The role also forms part of the Benefits front line team with an emphasis on dealing with routine enquires from customers, making routine amendments to customer claims using computerised database systems.
Responsibilities:
Reference and index documents using the document management system to convert all incoming mail to electronic files. Adhere to and maintain quality control procedures to ensure consistency and accuracy. Maintain confidentiality when handling customers private information.
Customer contact provide initial guidance to customers over the telephone and via written communication on straight forward, non-contentious, queries.
Provide support and assistance by updating basic data on Housing Benefit, Council Tax Reduction Claims. For example; addresses, personal information and data.
Provide support and assistance with research and gathering evidence in order to develop a case profile to initiate an investigation, liaising where necessary with other departments and outside agencies, including DWP via GCSX email address.
Issue Housing Benefit/Council Tax Reduction reviews, monitoring and maintaining the Intervention System.
Qualifications:
The post holder must be educated to GCSE level with passes at grade C or above in English or Welsh and Mathematics or equivalent level of competence.
Qualification at NVQ level 3 in Business Administration (or equivalent relevant experience).

You should be available to work immediately or at a short notice.
You should have right to work in U.K
