Rentokil Initial has an IT strategy of utilising a mix of bespoke and off the shelf applications across the Prospect to Cash business processes. The Group Information Systems (GIS) function is developing an exciting new generation suite of Enterprise solutions utilising Google Cloud Platform.

The successful candidate will have demonstrable skills across the software development life cycle. Has deep practical understanding of the activities of the Rentokil Initial and is able to demonstrate the importance of high quality and efficient software delivery.
Able to coordinate complex deliverables across multiple teams, including overlap and dependencies.

Main Purpose of role:

 •  In discussion and agreement with the team, implement the agreed delivery approach and take responsibility for ensuring projects are delivered successfully
 •  To set the agile product team up for success, supporting them in problem solving and enabling them to come up with their own insights and products within constraints
 •  Evolve and codify our delivery practices, learning and iterating frequently, and coaching others to do so – and document findings, tools and approaches
 •  Manage the delivery of digital products alongside the product teams with a deep understanding of how these solutions add value
 •  Will be expected to act autonomously ensuring that daily tasks and on-going workloads are prioritised and completed in agreed time frames. Excellent interpersonal skills will support this
 •  Support the management and implementation of the agreed target service management systems in line with the agreed regional business priorities
 •  Aiding the formation and running of high performing product teams where people are excited about the work they are undertaking.
 •  Planning, facilitating and implementing service management solutions, agreed with the regional businesses, ensuring that project reporting and work stream structures are in place and effective reporting, escalation and remediation at all times.
 •  Handle and manage highly complex and sensitive information about staff, business processes, commercial plans, strategic objectives and barriers to change
 •  Identifies and influences resources needed for the planning, setup and delivery of the agreed programmes and services.
 •  Working with the regional business team to ensure there is a business understanding of how the solutions and tools will be delivered to the business (This will include the planning around key business periods / cycles).
 •  Prepares for and participates in the PI- planning event and supports the Product Owner and other POs in aligning the delivery of product releases

Requirements
 •  EITHER : Has achieved proficiency at Level 5 in any SFIA Skill, OR: Has gained experience (typically five years) working as a constructive user or supplier of information services with significant exposure to, and knowledge of, a major Service provision Skill and the operational flows of the organisation.
 •  Understands the principles of business and markets and has experience of relevant business sectors. Has proven project management and leadership skills. Has a thorough knowledge of how to make and sustain a business case (the benefits that will be delivered, the investment cost and the risks involved). Demonstrates up to date knowledge of the organisation’s business environment, culture, policy framework, organisational relationships, business processes, and reporting procedures. Displays good inter-personal skills at all levels of contact and in a wide variety of situations, demonstrates the ability to listen and influence, and to relate to customers in their own language. Demonstrates sound practical knowledge of associated technical disciplines e.g. process re-design, systems development and service delivery. Uses high level of technical understanding to interpret technical issues for the business and sustain credibility with IT.
 •  Educated to bachelor degree level and holds a relevant professional qualification.
