Our department is working to become an accredited orthoptic placement site this year and we are looking applicants who are enthusiastic about education to become part of the clinical tutor team. As a small team, we fully support individual development plans and provide the protected time and finances to grow and advance.

On offer for the position is a salary of up to £50,056 per annum on agreement with recruiting manager and a relocation assistance package of up to £10,000, subject to Trust policy.

We are also able to offer this role as a training post on a Band 6 annex 21 basis.

As an autonomous practitioner you will plan, implement and monitor individual orthoptic treatment plans/care pathways for patients of all ages using advanced clinical reasoning and evidence-based practice.

You will have an extended role in glaucoma and additional extended roles can be tailored to the your areas of special interest.

You will also provide specialist training and education to orthoptic undergraduate students, pre-reg optometrists, health care assistants and nurses.
