Senior Product Safety Engineer

We are in search of a proficient Senior Product Safety Engineer to join our esteemed team. Specializing in delivering comprehensive product safety testing services for various electrical products, our company is dedicated to meeting client requirements while upholding the stringent quality standards set by the UKAS quality system.
In addition to overseeing testing procedures, the Senior Product Safety Engineer will actively contribute to business development initiatives and provide technical expertise to bolster our company's capabilities and service offerings.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct product safety testing:

Perform product safety testing on a variety of electrical products as required.

Ensure that testing procedures comply with client specifications and adhere to the standards set by the UKAS quality system.

Support business development:

Identify new business opportunities within the market.

Provide technical expertise to assist in client engagements and proposals.

Collaboration with cross-functional teams:

Work collaboratively with teams across different departments.

Contribute to expanding the company's service portfolio and bolstering its standing within the industry.

Qualifications:

Demonstrated track record as an Electrical Safety Engineer or in a comparable role within a relevant industry, showcasing recent proficiency in operating test and measuring equipment like multimeters and oscilloscopes.

Extensive understanding of electrical safety standards, regulations, and testing methodologies.

Proficiency in utilizing electrical safety analysis tools and software.

Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, facilitating effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Meticulous attention to detail, dedicated to upholding the highest standards of electrical safety.

Possession of professional certifications related to electrical safety is advantageous.

Desirable Attributes:

Familiarity with product safety standards including EN 60335, EN 60598, EN 61558, EN 60745, EN 62368, EN 61010, EN 60601, and others.

Background in quality management or quality assurance.

Previous employment in the Testing, Inspection, and Certification (TIC) industry.

Possession of a valid Full Driving License for use in the UK
