RPS are working exclusively with a leading automotive, precision components manufacturer, who currently supply to the likes of Aston Martin, JLR and Lotus.
They are looking for an experienced Production Manager to join them on their Burnley site, to lead the business unit production requirements, assets and resources in accordance with customer and regulatory requirements.
The Role;
• Management of Business Unit production provisions including resource management, productivity, producibility, hardware maintenance and monitoring to BMS requirements.
• Production Planning of BU to customer / internal schedule requirements to achieve KPI targets.
• Manage and lead the BU to achieve safety targets including accident prevention & near misses
• Manage and lead the business unit to achieve internal and external quality KPIs
• Manage and lead the business unit to achieve OEE KPI target of 80% OEE Efficiency.
• Manage and resource the business to achieve absence rates and direct headcount KPIs
• Lead the business unit in RCCA and continually improvement activities in reaction to production performance issues.
Skills and Attributes:
• Excellent Leadership, communication, and motivational skills
• Excellent People and Performance Management Skills
• Ability to review and develop individuals and teams
• Ability to plan production processes to customer demands
• Ability to ensure resources work to high standards
• Understanding of production processes and intended results
• Leadership of performance management tools
• Management of HSE reporting processes
• Ability to use problem solving techniques to establish root cause and corrective actions
• Understanding of customer expectations
• Ability to work in a pressured environment and react quickly to problems and deviations.
• Understanding of HSE & Quality Principles
Qualifications and Experience Levels:
• GCSE Level A-E / NVQ Level 2 - 3 / BTEC National Diploma Level 3
• Higher National Certificate Level 3 Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• Experience in Production Leader or Manager is desired.
MRP System experience is desired.
