A Fantastic Primary School in Wisbech are looking to appoint for a ASC Support Specialist to work on a 1:1 basis with a KS2 Pupil who is due to begin at the school in the new academic year.

If you have experience supporting pupils as a teaching assistant in Primary, Secondary or in SEN schools and are looking for a position that will compliment and reward your skillset – this role may be of interest to you.

The position is five days a week, working full days until the end of the first full term, but has the opportunity of being extended depending on the pupil’s progression during their time in mainstream education.

What we need from you:

 •  Some prior experience supporting pupil with EHCP’s such as: ASC, MLD, SEMH, HI or VI.
 •  A ‘can do’ approach to any given situation or challenge
 •  The ability to offer 1:1 support
 •  Exceptional communication and behavioural management skills
 •  The ability to assess and track progress of pupils

Your role will be vital in the learning development of the pupil you are supporting, and you will therefore be expected to regularly provide feedback on the child’s progression and performance in class to the teacher.
