Senior Mechanical Engineer

Senior Mechanical Engineer - 17% employer pension, fully remote role, up to £50K salary
Use your experience in Mechanical (Building Services) design, energy conservation and Research and Development to future proof our countries most precious, historic buildings. All from the comfort of your own home whilst enjoying a 36-hour working week!
England has some truly remarkable listed buildings and a long history of innovation. However, unless these iconic buildings are improved, maintained, or decarbonised, we run the risk of them falling into ruin.
That's where you come in.
As a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer with previous experience in existing buildings, you'll get involved in complex upgrades and refurbishment projects on listed buildings across the UK. You'll help future proof these buildings and integrate low or zero carbon technologies into buildings that were never originally designed to have gas or electricity!
You'll enjoy collaborating with internal M&E Design Engineers, planners, external specialist consultants and conservation architects. You'll engineer solutions that will see these magnificent buildings last another 500 or more years, whilst ensuring that they continue to have a smaller carbon footprint.
In addition to usual duties of a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer (HVAC design, site surveys, attending design, coordination, and client meetings etc) here you'll also have a dedicated R&D budget so that you can explore new or emerging technologies.
This is a unique opportunity to decarbonise the UK's historic built environment, whilst ensuring these engineered solutions do not compromise their historical value, or architectural features.
Benefits:
Salary to £50,000.
17% employer pension
28 days leave.
36 hours a week (option of a 4-day week or a 9-day fortnight)
Choice of fully a fully remote role, or hybrid role (from any one of their UK based offices).
Your own dedicated training and development budget.Requirements
Degree qualified and Chartered.
At least four years' experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer.
