Our company is currently recruiting an experienced HVAC Engineer to be working onsite in Billingham, UK for a leading engineering services contractor currently involved in complex technical projects in life sciences, pharmaceutical and data centre schemes across Europe.
The organisation’s division includes Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Sprinkler and Fire Protection and also offer other exceptional services in Off Site Fabrication, Waste to Energy (BioEnergy), Technical Support Services, Asset Management, Specialist Lift, Maintenance, BIM (Building Information Modelling) and Geo-Surveying.

Key Responsibilities & Requirements:
 •  Conduct a thorough assessment of the project’s HVAC requirements considering factors such as usage patterns, occupancy and environmental conditions.
 •  Develop detailed HVAC system design that meets the project’s heating, cooling and ventilation needs while optimising energy efficiency and indoor air quality.
 •  Oversee the installation and construction of the HVAC system, ensuring that the work is performed according to design specifications, safety standards and industry best practices.
 •  Perform thorough testing and commissioning of the HVAC system to verify performance, functionality and compliance with design requirements.
 •  Take ownership of HVAC IFC construction drawings, review and issue them to subcontractors for procurement.
 •  Produce procurement schedules and issue them to suppliers.
 •  Generation and management of technical submittals to clients and generation of RFIs as required.
 •  Assist construction team (Supervisor, subcontractor foreman, QA/QC personnel) and address any queries raised.
 •  Collaborate with the design team, design consultants and construction management team.
 •  Carry out construction-ability reviews with the construction team.
 •  Prepare handover test packs.
 •  Track progress of construction programme and issue weekly progress reports.
 •  Report to HVAC Project Manager
 •  Production of CTPs and O&Ms
 •  2-3 years’ experience in a similar role.
 •  Experience with DW-144 installations, 3D modelling (Navisworks - Navigation only)
 •  Ideally with design experience in industrial HVAC.
 •  Able to read AF&ID schematics.
 •  Experience with HVAC equipment, ductwork, insulation specifications.
 •  Ideally with experience on HVAC commissioning.
 •  Strong communication, leadership and project management skills.
 •  Proficient in HVAC design softwares.
