Are you an Automotive Electrical Design Engineer interested in a new opportunity to grow your career? ASL Technical are now working with a leading manufacturer of niche vehicles as they look to expand their Engineering Applications Team.
Main Purpose of Automotive Electrical Design Engineer
Design effective solutions to the electrical and electronic aspects of vehicle product range as required by the specification.
Producing 2D CAD drawings of wiring harnesses to the relevant ISO standards.
Produce and maintain accurate bills of materials.
Produce detailed schematic drawings of the electrical system for use in the Company's technical publications and training documentation.
Understand and use electrical wiring harness schematic to build or modify harnesses for development or production.
Liaise with other teams achieve completion of production and prototype vehicles.
To engage in the prototyping of new components, their evaluation and testing under representative conditions.
Do you have the required experience for the Automotive Electrical Design Engineer
Experience and knowledge of automotive electrics, electronics, and CAN bus essential.
Experience or wiliness to learn 2D Electrical CAD software (E3 preferred),
Experience or wiliness to learn 3D CAD software (SolidWorks preferred).
Candidate should possess drive, energy, intuition, determination with commitment and have ability to co-ordinate multi-task projects, prioritise workloads and meet deadlines.
Successful candidates can expect to receive the following in addition to the advertised rate:
