Our client is a leading food business who supply to a variety of the major retailers. As they continue to expand and grow their presence in the marketplace they are now seeking a driven and ambitious QA Team Leader to join their business.
Reporting into the Factory Technical Manager, this role is an excellent opportunity for a Food or Fresh Produce professional looking for their role upwards to join a well-respected food manufacturing company that supplies premium products to a number of retailers.
• Support QA team and operational departments on food safety, legality, and quality challenges.
• Provide task-based guidance to QA team in alignment with Technical Manager's priorities.
• Develop and maintain auditing schedules and generate standardised audit reports.
• Communicate audit results effectively to operations management and address non-conformances promptly.
• Investigate major food safety issues, conduct root cause analysis, and communicate findings to management.
• Oversee complaint investigations and collaborate with relevant departments.
• Contribute to reducing complaints and driving improvement projects for product quality.
• Ensure compliance with equipment setup and operation for legal and customer standards.
• Manage non-conformances, concessions, and quarantined goods effectively.
• Maintain accuracy in sampling, analysis testing data, and compliance with schedules.
About you:
• Relevant QA food manufacturing experience
• Product category background is flexible
• Experience with managing or leading a team
• Willing to offer flexibility around audits and additional requirements
• Knowledge of bacteria
