Deputy Business Advisor
Key Duties:
• Financial Planning and Reporting Supports the Business Advisor (Corporate / E&F / Digital) in providing financial support to the Division and Service Lines.
Co
• ordinates and manages the process of annual budget setting for Division working within an agreed corporate framework.
Support the Business Advisor (Corporate / E&F / Digital) in monitoring and reporting upon potential financial risks and risk minimisation strategies.
Monitor and forecast expenditure trends/budgetary performance on a monthly basis, identifying variances & service issues for managers & advising them appropriately.
Develops and maintains systems to monitor and update Division and Service Line financial plans and advise them on corrective actions where necessary.
Provide information on a monthly basis to contribute to corporate financial reports.
Supports the Business advisor (Corporate / E&F / Digital) and Divisional Directors and Managers in the identification of efficiency savings and provides a monthly schedule of progress against agreed targets.
• Provision of Financial Advice and Training
• Provide Business Management and Decision Support
• Manage a Small Team of Staff General Duties: To support the Business Advisor (Corporate / E&F / Digital) in providing robust financial planning and reporting service to a Division including financial forecasting and risk assessment.
To provide expert financial advice and training to a range of managers and clinicians within the division.
To support the Business Advisor (Corporate / E&F / Digital) in providing business management support to enhance decision making within the division.
To be an active member of multi-disciplinary teams contributing to the management of the Division and Service lines.
Manage a small team of staff ensuring regular appraisal and development opportunities.
To be an active member of the Finance Directorate contributing to its development.
Deputise for the Business Advisor in their absence.
