Fantastic opportunities has arisen for an experienced Surgical First Assistants' for a locum and single and block bookings to start as soon as possible. The positions are for 30-37.5 hours per week, with flexible days and working hours.
Role description:
Our client offers a multitude of opportunities for progression and skill development - often leading to promotion! You will be working as a qualified Surgical First Assistant so you must be fully qualified.
Duties and responsibilities:
To be responsible for providing skilled clinical and technical assistance as a member of the operating theatre team, taking on the role of Surgical First Assistant. You will provide continuous competent and dedicated assistance under the direct supervision of the operating surgeon throughout the procedure and be responsible for the management of the equipment, instrumentation, and standards within the designated specialty and the role.
To act as a scrub nurse when SFA role if not required.
Essential:
The right candidate will have an NMC/HCPC pin, be qualified as a Surgical First Assistant and have experience assisting surgeons. You should be open to take on some leadership responsibilities as you will be a higher-level practitioner who may have to help guide junior members of the team.
Pay Rate:
• £30.00 - £46.00 per hour
Shifts patterns available:
• Flexible shifts, Full time-Part time / weekends
Role Requiremens:
• NMC/ HCPC registered- your pin must not have any restrictions or conditions
• Degree or Qualification Certificate
• 6 months minimum experience within theatres department in the UK
• Right to work within the UK
• Fulfil the compliance requirements of our framework, including those related to DBS, Occupational Health, and an updated CV
