Role & Responsibilities:
The Electrician’s role will be required to complete the following list of key responsibilities:
• 18th edition and C&G 2391 testing inspection - Desirable
• Carry out Pre-Installation building inspections (PIBI’s) in line with PAS2030
• Installing, maintaining and repairing electrical control, wiring and lighting systems.
• Inspecting transformers, circuit breakers, and other electrical components.
• Follow local building regulations.
• Troubleshooting electrical issues using appropriate testing devices.
• Drafting electrical installation plans and technical diagrams, technical surveys, and ensure all health and safety requirements are met.
• Carry out site inspections and internal audits to ensure compliance with MCS and PAS2030
• Efficiently complete work orders and record materials that are used on each job/project.
• Advise management on when to replace any electrical equipment to prevent hazards.
• Complete Risk Assessments and Method Statements.
• Review and evolve our design process (where required) in line with relevant industry standards.
• Understand & apply electrical installation elements of PAS2035, PAS2030 and Building Regulations.
• Maintain and build relationships with colleagues, consultants and subcontractors.
Desirable Skills
• Electrical background essential, with current (18th edition) qualification 2+ years of experienced preferred.
• Able to use MS Office – Word, Excel, Outlook
• Good interpersonal and strong communication skills
• Good writing and presentation skills
• Strong time management skills, allowing switching between a variety of tasks and meeting a combination of daily, weekly and monthly deadlines.
• Must be analytical and problem solving
• A flexible, self-motivating and agile attitude.
• Attention to detail and accurate record keeping skills
• Ability to build strong relationships with colleagues, creating a team spirit.
• Full UK driving licence
