About Our Client
The company is a well-established social housing contractor within the property industry and work across a wide range of contracts across the UK. This region covers the West Midlands work across a number of contracts working alongside social housing providers, local authorities and housing associations.
Job Description
Your role will involve working closely alongside the Senior Quantity Surveyor:
• Assist in managing all costs relating to building and civil engineering projects.
• Perform risk, value management and cost control during projects.
• Prepare and analyse project costings for tenders.
• Assist in establishing client's requirements and undertake feasibility studies.
• Work closely with the construction team to ensure project budgets are adhered to.
• Assist in the negotiation of contracts and work schedules.
• Assist in the preparation of bills of quantities.
• Perform cost analysis for repair and maintenance project work.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Assistant Quantity Surveyor should have:
• A degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying or experience in the role already
• Strong numerical and analytical skills.
• Knowledge of construction processes and materials.
• Good understanding of building regulations and legal guidelines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
