To be responsible for the assessment, treatment, planning, delivery and evaluation of evidence based highly specialised physiotherapy intervention within the areas ofMental Health Inpatients Units.

Our established and growing Mental Health Physiotherapy service provides an excellent opportunity to work alongside dedicated professionals providing high quality care to our mental health inpatients, not only within the Harbour Hospital but across several other mental health inpatient units across the Trust.
This is a rare and unique opportunity to further develop and broaden your skills.

As the Band 7 Clinical Specialist Physiotherapist in our mental health team, you will provide physiotherapy leadership to the team as well as specialist intervention across mental health inpatient units within the trust including Older adult and working age, and be an integral part of continuing to develop the Physiotherapy Service across Trust.

You will see patients with a variety of physical conditions, some with very complex needs who require ongoing mental health treatment alongside their physical health needs. The Physiotherapy team comprises of 5 physiotherapists who work closely with Occupational Therapists, Therapy workers, Health and Well-being workers, Speech Therapists, Psychologists, Consultants and Nursing staff.

Lancashire & South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust provides a range of services including secondary mental health care across this area. Specialist provision comprises inpatient child and adolescent mental health services, perinatal mental health and forensic services including low and medium secure care.
