OVERVIEW:

Due to our continued success and growth, we are now seeking a dedicated and skilled individual to join our Facilities Management team as a Ground Maintenance Engineer.

In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the upkeep and clean look of the outdoor spaces for commercial clients, including London parks, commercial retail parks, business estates, petrol stations and more. You will play a vital role in maintaining a safe, clean, and attractive environment for our clients, always demonstrating professionalism and excellent safe working practises.
Your role will include, lawn mowing, hedge trimming edge strimming, leaf blowing, weeding (PA1&PA6 tickets required) and litter picking. Other additional duties as required.

All work area should be left tidy, and equipment/ van well maintained.
You may be required to ensure GM Labourers are provided day to day instructions and are working in a safe, respectful manner.

RESPONSIBILTIES:
 •  Routine Grounds Maintenance: Perform regular inspections and maintenance tasks to upkeep the appearance and functionality of outdoor areas, including lawns, gardens, paths, car parks, and exterior structures.
 •  Landscape Management: General upkeep of green areas, weed control, cutting grass, trimming back hedges and shrubs, litter picking, to enhance the visual appeal of the areas.
 •  Equipment Operation and Maintenance: Operate and maintain grounds maintenance equipment such as lawn mowers, trimmers, blowers, and power tools, ensuring they are in good working condition and following safety protocols.
 •  Waste Management: Collect and dispose of green waste, litter, and other debris from outdoor areas, maintaining cleanliness and tidiness throughout the property.
 •  Safety and Compliance: Adhere to safety regulations and industry standards to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others. Identify potential hazards and take appropriate measures to address them.
 •  Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, inspections, and inventory of supplies and equipment. Provide regular reports to management on the condition of outdoor areas and any maintenance needs or recommendations. Pictures where required
 •  Customer Service: Interact professionally with clients, responding promptly to enquiries, requests, and concerns related to grounds maintenance.

QUALIFICATIONS EXPERIENCE:
 •  Previous experience in grounds maintenance, landscaping, or a related field is essential
 •  Knowledge landscaping technique and groundskeeping equipment – Mowers, Strimmers, hedge cutters, blowers and power tools. CC Cousins currently operate with petrol tools.
 •  Valid driver's licence (Essential)
 •  PA1 and PA6 Certificate (Essential)
 •  Ability to work independently and efficiently, managing time and resources effectively.
 •  Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality work
 •  Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
SCHEDULE:
Full-time position with regular working hours, including occasional weekends or evenings as needed for special projects or emergencies. Overtime is paid.
