Our client is searching for an Account Assistant to join their well-established and rapidly growing firm. Over the past 10 years they have built excellent client relationships and they pride them on carrying out high standards of work to the Northeast business sector and the rest of the UK.
The role is suited to an experienced Accounts Assistant who is a self-motivated professional and an effective communicator. This role requires you to work both under your own initiative, and as part of a wider team, therefore, skills in working in both of these ways will be vital.
Excellent IT skills and a sound understanding of accounting principles are essential, as is the ability to organise and prioritise often conflicting workloads to achieve tight deadlines.
About You
Essential Requirements:
• Friendly, hardworking and able to work as part of a team.
• Experience of working within an accountancy practice.
• Experience of carrying out accounts and tax work for both individuals and limited companies.
• Ability to liaise with clients confidently and have a sound understanding of accounting principles.
Desirable Requirements:
• AAT, ATT or higher.
• Good IT skills and experience using Tax Calc and Xero software.
What they will Ask of You
• To work as part of a team to complete accounts and tax returns for limited companies, partnerships and sole traders across a wide range of business sectors, ensuring deadlines are met.
• Bookkeeping and general accounts work, in preparation for accounts to be finalised.
• Other duties as assigned to fulfil role.
