Job Purpose: We are seeking a dedicated Process Safety Engineer to play a pivotal role in championing a culture of process safety within our clients organisation. As a Process Safety Engineer, you will provide technical leadership to identify hazards, assess risks, and deliver cost-efficient management solutions.
Your expertise will be essential in ensuring compliance with regulations, promoting a safe working environment, and contributing to our sustainable and low carbon future.

Key Duties:
• Ensure compliance across all sites with respect to Pressure Systems Safety Regulations (PSSR).
• Organize and conduct process safety assessments to identify potential hazards and risks.
• Assist during visits by external regulators such as the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) and the Scottish Environment Protection Agency (SEPA).
• Investigate process safety-related incidents and accidents, providing insights and recommendations for prevention.
• Conduct audits at various sites to assess adherence to best practices and relevant regulations, including COMAH, LOLER, PUWER, and DSEAR.
Key Skills:
• Bachelor's degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent qualification in process safety.
• In-depth understanding of Pressure Systems Safety Regulations (PSSR), COMAH regulations, and Dangerous Substances and Explosive Atmosphere Regulations (DSEAR).
• A background in process safety or experience working in anaerobic digestion, water treatment, chemical, or energy plants.
• Knowledge of existing and pending Health and Safety Executive (HSE) legislation.
