We are recruiting an exciting opportunity for a Deputy Manager to join an established care organisation in North East Wales. The residential home is for adults with Learning Disabilities. You would be joining a strong and supportive team, with the scope for further career development.

PROFILE

To assist the Registered Manager with the management of a residential care home for individuals with complex care needs who present with challenging behaviours. The individual will ensure the staff team provision of high quality health and social care support within the service, which promotes and protects the rights of individuals within the service to achieve a dignified and meaningful lifestyle, and to ensure that the support given enables individuals to achieve maximum independence.
This company uses the principles of Applied Behaviour Analysis to achieve high quality outcomes for individuals who are supported.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
 •  Directly support the Registered Manager to provide high quality care and support of people in keeping with the vision and values of the company.
 •  Hold an active role in providing strong management and leadership of the staff teams, and hold responsibility in supporting people within their care to feel safe, to feel well cared for and be at the centre of decision making about their lives wherever possible.
 •  Act as positive role models for all staff, passionately advocating for the needs of people supported in keeping with company values.
 •  Actively and competently deputise for the Registered Manager when required to do so ensuring that the home is effective in delivering upon the company values and vision for the people supported.
 •  Expected to be competent and knowledgeable in the principles of active and positive behaviour support and develop and maintain a positive working relationship with the team to understand functions of behaviours, plans that are to be implemented and records that must be kept.
 •  The Deputy Manager must have excellent knowledge of the Regulation and Inspection of Social Care Wales Act 2016 (RISCA) developing cultures and processes that comply with all regulations.

REQUIREMENTS
 •  Management or leadership experience
 •  QCF Level 3 in Health & Social Care
 •  Proven experience of working with adults with Learning Disabilities
 •  Strong leadership skills
 •  Working knowledge and understanding of CIW Regulations
 •  A ‘can do’ attitude
 •  Strong communication (written and verbal) skills
 •  Willingness to be flexible
 •  UK driving licence and car
