An outstanding job opportunity has arisen for a committed Clinical Psychologist based Liverpool.
Salary £43742 - £50056 DOE.
*Golden Hello Bonus of £6000* subject to T&C’s.
Specialism
Acquired brain injury and a range of other neurological conditions such as Huntington’s disease, Parkinson’s, and multiple sclerosis.
Purpose
To work as part of a multi/inter disciplinary team, providing clinical psychology and neuropsychology input within the BIRT neurobehavioral model to service users with acquired brain injury. You will liaise with internal and external professionals, family members and service users.
You will engage in relevant research and advise other professionals as appropriate.
Qualifications required
• Degree in Psychology, accepted by BPS for Graduate Basis Registration (GBR) or equivalent.
• Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (BPS accredited) or its equivalent to meet requirements to register as a practitioner psychologist with the HCPC.
• Registered with the HCPC.
Experience, Skills and Ability
• Knowledge of relevant legislation in relation to the service user group.
• Relevant experience in producing clinical reports.
• IT skills including the ability to open and send email’s using Outlook, the ability to use Microsoft office and the ability to navigate the internet.
• An understanding and commitment to Equality, Diversity & Inclusion, and an alignment to the Trust’s values.
• Ability to communicate at all levels, both oral and written to a range of audiences.
• Ability to research, analyse and manage complex multi-factorial clinical information from a range of sources.
• Ability to integrate complex multi-factorial clinical information into a formulation, utilising a variety of psychological perspectives.
• Ability to work within Professional Guidelines.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to deal with complex emotive subjects with a range of audiences, including those with communication difficulties.
• Excellent organisational skills.
• Ability to prioritise the workload to meet specified deadlines.
• Ability to administer complex psychometric test materials.
• Ability to effectively work as part of a Inter / Multidisciplinary Team.
• Resilient with the ability to work with unpredictable service users i.e. demanding, verbally and physically aggressive.
