Location: Islington
Start Date: Immediate Start required
Working hours: 8.30 am - 3.30 pm (Term Time Only)
Pay Rate: Paid to Scale.

GSL Education are currently seeking dedicated professionals experienced in supporting young people with Special Needs & Learning Difficulties to join our Team.

Responsibilities when supporting SEMH:

Provide one-on-one or small group support to students with SEN needs within the classroom setting.
Collaborate with teaching staff to implement education plans and behaviour plans.
Create a positive and inclusive learning environment, promoting emotional well-being and social development.
Monitor and track the progress of students, providing regular feedback to relevant parties.
Assist in interventions, utilising school facilities such as sensory integration rooms, sports equipment and therapeutic settings to re-integrate children back into the classroom.
Work closely with external agencies, parents, and colleagues to ensure a holistic approach to student support.

Required to work with SEMH:

Relevant qualifications in education, Sports, Psychology, Performing Arts etc.
Teacher, Teaching Assistant, Learning Support, Behaviour Support, Sports Coaches all welcomed.
Team Teach training or equivalent is highly desirable.
Previous experience working with students with SEMH or SEND needs, including Autism, Complex care, MLD, PMLD.

Strong understanding of behaviour management strategies and interventions including de-escalation tactics
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Experience supporting students with EHCP’s is desirable.
