Monday to Thursday 8.30am to 5pm
Friday 8.30am to 4.30pm
£22,000 per annum
Our client - a family-run business just outside St. Ives in Cambridgeshire are looking for an Accounts Administrator to join their friendly team on a full time permanent basis.
The main purpose of the role will include supporting the accounts team with sales and purchase ledgers; ad-hoc admin duties which include processing supplier invoices, dealing with supplier and customer queries, chasing courier claims, and keeping spreadsheets up to date.
Supporting with month-ends and years-ends.
Monthly - Send out statements to customers
Maintain and deal with accounts customer and supplier emails and provide cover for other emails received
Email invoices to overseas customers and deal with queries and raising the daily UK invoices
Support with emails from customers and sales staff
Initial credit checks admin for new customers and increase limits for existing customers for Accounts Office Manager sign off
Check and post all non Purchase Orders invoices (PO) and PO invoices to relevant suppliers accounts
Update freight costing sheet
Assist with staff expenses and company credit cards
Assist with month-end processes
Samples and free-of-charge charges
Freight claims
Create, record and post payment links and support with chasing with credit control
Support Manager to ensure the accountants are provided with all year-end information
Adhoc admin duties
You will need;
Strong attention to detail
High accuracy
Good communication skills
Excellent telephone manner
Computer literate, confidence in use of MS Office, internet and email in particular
Intermediate excel skills
Previous experience in an accounts role as part of a team
Level 2 Accountancy qualification is desirable
Due to the location of the office a full clean driving licence and own transport is essential.
