As a Financial and Management accountant you’ll be working in a dynamic and ambitious organisation. The Financial and Management accountant reports directly to the Managing Director, with a dotted line to the Head of Finance at group level. You will have a key responsibility in the execution and delivery of the general ledger administration, as well as the monthly financial and management reporting within the organization.
Tasks and responsibilities:
• Monthly closing activities, including full general ledger administration
• Analyzing and explaining deviations and developments
• Improving and implementing (new) financial processes
• Timely and accurate tax declaration and other filings
• Support the managing director in the budget process
• Facilitate the external audit process (main contact person for the auditors)
Education and personal skills:
To apply for this position you have strong numerical and analytical skills. With your knowledge of accounting rules, you can ensure that our financial administration complies with the legal requirements. The baseline requirements are:
• A Bachelor’s degree in a financial discipline (Business Administration/Economics or Accountancy)
• Appr. 4 years of relevant work experience within a financial department
• Knowledge of accounting and reporting
• Enthusiastic, proactive and self-starter
• Ideally you have work experience within a logistics, shipping or transport company
• Extensive experience in Excel and ERP systems, preferably Xero and/or SAP
