Teaching Personnel are hiring Teaching Assistants of all levels of experience in secondary schools around Bridgend. Teaching Personnel offer a competitive rate of pay (£12.90p/hr) and are looking for staff to fill full-time and flexible roles in a range of mainstream secondary schools to work with pupils with Additional Learning Needs (ALN).
Working for Teaching Personnel gives you full control of your working diary through the convenient use of our MyTP app.

Suitable candidates will be expected to provide in-class assistance through 1:1 support to help ensure pupils cope and manage the work to the best of their ability and the school environment. 1:1 support can be challenging at times, but the right candidate will build a strong relationship with the pupil.

The successful candidate will possess key attributes such as excellent communication skills to be able to effectively communicate with the pupil who often struggles with typical means of communication. Other key attributes include high levels of organisation and patience as pupils often struggle to organise themselves and display challenging behaviour when they cannot access classwork.

Teaching Assistant roles can be excellent experience for future teachers looking to experience working in schools before applying for PGCE’s.
