Job Title: Production Supervisor - Precision Engineering
Location: Derby
Environment: Manufacturing - precision engineering
Salary and shift: Days - Monday to Thursday 6am-6pm = 48hrs = £19.45 per hour/£48547 per annum + OT
Role: Permanent
Holidays: 33 days
Benefits: Death in service x2 of salary, pension
Overview:
Working within a first-class precision engineering environment we now require a Production Supervisor to join the team.
Working closely with the production manager and wider team leaders/supervisors you will be tasked to ensure efficient running of the area, being the main point of contact for your department, ensuring quality goods are delivered to the customer on time.
The role in brief:
• Responsible for the achievement of Factory Output, Targets, KPI's, including Quality, Cost, Delivery, and the efficient management of team resources.
• Support continuous improvement work culture
• Carry our performance reviews and disciplinary procedures along with other HR related duties - absence management, holiday cover, return to works.
• Control budget and overtime spend with the senior leadership team.
The ideal candidate / Production Supervisor - Precision Engineering may have some of the following, however, please note these are only desirable and not essential as all applications will be looked at individually:
• A strong background leading/supervising within a machining and precision engineering environment
• Cost efficient/cost reduction awareness
• Waste reduction focused
• Time served and apprentice trained at Level 3 or above within a engineering discipline
