The Role:
As a QS/Estimator, you will play a pivotal role in our clients team, utilizing your expertise to tender for small works projects and ensure the successful delivery of special projects, which can range up to 2 million in value. Your responsibilities will include:
Conducting thorough cost analysis and estimating for small works projects, including commercial maintenance works, refurbishments, alterations, and extension works.
Collaborating with stakeholders to understand project requirements and deliver accurate estimates.
Managing tender processes from inception to submission, ensuring compliance with regulations and specifications.
Overseeing project management duties, including cost control, procurement, and contract administration.
Providing valuable insights and recommendations to optimize project costs and schedules.
Contributing to the continuous improvement of estimating processes and procedures.
Requirements:
To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and skills:
Proven experience as a QS/Estimator in the construction industry.
Strong knowledge of tendering processes and regulations.
Experience tendering for small works projects, with projects up to 2 million in value.
Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
Effective communication and negotiation abilities.
Ability to manage projects across various sectors, including healthcare, residential, and large-scale heritage refurbishment.
Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field (preferred)
