Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Tutor to join our team. As a Tutor, you will play a crucial role in providing educational support to students of various ages and academic levels. Your expertise and guidance will help students achieve their academic goals and foster a love for learning.
Duties:
• Provide one-on-one or small group tutoring sessions to students
• Assess students' individual needs and develop personalised lesson plans
• Assist students with homework assignments, test preparation, and study skills
• Teach and reinforce fundamental concepts in various subjects
• Adapt teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles
• Monitor student progress and provide feedback to parents or guardians
• Collaborate with individuals involved in the student's education to address specific educational needs
• Utilise educational resources and technology to enhance tutoring sessions
Experience:
• Previous experience in tutoring or teaching is preferred
• Strong knowledge and understanding of the subject(s) being tutored. We are looking for tutors across multiple of subject expertise.
• Ability to effectively communicate and engage with students of all ages
• Experience working with children, including those with special education needs, is a plus
• Patience, empathy, and the ability to create a positive learning environment
Job Types: Part-time, Temporary contract, Freelance
Pay: £24.25-£26.57 per hour
Expected hours: 5 – 25 per week
Schedule:
• Flexitime
• Monday to Friday
Education:
• Bachelor's (preferred)
Experience:
• Teaching: 1 year (preferred)
• Tutoring: 1 year (required)
Work Location: In person
