26. £28k Salary – Straight Permanent Role
Our client design and manufacture precision forged and machined components and are currently recruiting for a Press / Forge Operative to join their team. As a Press / Forge Operative you would assist in loading machinery and working on press machinery with the forge department within the business.
Hours of work will be Rotating earlies and afternoons, rotating weekly (6am to 2pm Monday to Friday) and then 2pm to 12am (Monday to Thursday)
Salary £26,000 to £28,000 per annum plus competitive benefits package.
Reporting directly to the Department Leader , your key responsibilities will include:
• Loading of materials and components into forge / press machinery
• Heavy work/Physically demanding.
• Working in a hot environment
• Carry out visual checks on machined parts and ensure they are to a satisfactory standard.
To be successful in the role of a Press / Forge Operative you will hold the following skills and experience.
• Ideal put not essential - Experience of working in a heavy manufacturing or heavy industrial production environment.
• Possess a strong work ethic.
• Good communicator and a "can do" attitude”.
• An attention to detail
• Can work as a team.
This position is based near Redditch and in walkable distance from the train/bus station.
