Job Opportunity: Full stack PHP Developer - High-Mid to Senior Level
A reputable company is seeking an experienced Full stack PHP developer at a high-mid to senior level, with 6 to 15+ years of web software development expertise, particularly in eCommerce. Responsibilities and Duties:
• Collaborating in designing, planning, and executing new front-end and back-end development projects, including contributing to the creation of business solutions and conducting comprehensive testing. As a Full stack PHP Developer, your role will be pivotal in shaping the architecture and functionality of these projects.
• Developing modules and performing programming tasks using object-oriented programming, predominantly within a LAMP environment, utilising PHP/MYSQL/MariaDB, and/or Laravel. Your expertise as a PHP developer will be instrumental in delivering robust and scalable solutions.
• Continuously assessing and integrating new security features, functionalities, and efficiency improvements.
• Assist in transitioning legacy systems to the company's modern CMS. Your proficiency as a skilled PHP developer will be paramount in ensuring a smooth migration process.
• Promptly identifying and resolving issues. As a PHP developer, your problem-solving abilities will be essential in maintaining the integrity and functionality of the systems.
• Playing a pivotal role as a team member, actively contributing to project success.
• Demonstrating effective English communication skills, bridging the gap between technical and non-technical stakeholders by understanding requirements and effectively liaising with colleagues and clients.
Qualifications and Skills:
Required:
• Extensive experience in eCommerce.
• Proficiency in Object-Oriented PHP (5.6 - 8), Laravel (where specified), SQL database management, HTML, Git, SASS, JavaScript (including JQuery Foundation.js and Vue.js), SLIM (3) and TWIG, JSON, XML, and REST APIs.
• Working knowledge of web servers (Apache), DevOps practices, package managers (Composer and NPN), and unit testing (PHPUnit).
• Strong analytical problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with Ubuntu Linux.
Desirable:
• Experience with Selenium, Gherkin language, and Cucumber.
• Familiarity with React.js, Linux server administration, JIRA, or similar task management systems.
• Exposure to WordPress, Prestashop, Magento 2, Drupal Commerce, Shopify, Wix, or similar eCommerce platforms.
• Knowledge of AWS/DigitalOcean.
• Competitive salary ranging from £45,000 to £58,000 per annum, commensurate with skills, experience, and location.
