Physics Teacher
We are seeking an outstanding Physics teacher to join our school in Welwyn Garden City, this is a high achieving, non selective State school. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality Science lessons to students across key stages 3 and 4 with Physics available for KS 4 & 5.
The ideal candidate will be passionate about Physics and have a deep understanding of the subject. They will be committed to creating a dynamic and inspiring learning environment, and to helping students of all abilities to achieve their full potential.
Key responsibilities:
• Planning and delivering engaging and challenging Physics lessons that are tailored to the needs of all students
• Setting and marking homework and assessments in line with school policies
• Monitoring and tracking student progress, and providing regular feedback to students and parents
• Contributing to the wider life of the school, including extracurricular activities and events
• Promoting the values and ethos of the school at all times
Requirements:
• A degree in Physics or a related subject
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Experience teaching Physics at secondary level, including knowledge of the UK curriculum
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
This is a full-time, permanent position, starting in September 2024. The salary range is competitive and dependent on experience.
