Teacher of English
Location: Derbyshire (DE55)
Daily Rate: £150 - £210 (Paid to Salary Scale)
Days: Monday - Friday, Term Time Only
Hours: 8:00am - 4:00pm
Start Date: June or September 2024
Are you a qualified Secondary Education Teacher? Do you hold QTS & PGCE Certification? Are you seeking a long-term subject specific position?
LTF Recruitment are working alongside a Secondary School based in Derbyshire (DE55) who are looking to appoint a Teacher of English to start ASAP (or September for the right candidate). The school is part of a large academy trust, with an opportunity to gain permanent employment within the school or trust at the end of a successful period of temporary employment.
The main duties within the role will be:
Planning and delivering engaging lessons to both KS3 and KS4 (KS5 may be required)
Differentiating lesson content to meet a wide range of students needs and abilities
Delivering KS4 examination content in line with the school examination board
Assessing children's work against the school's assessment framework
Liaising with the school SENCO around the progress of children with special educational needs
Attending weekly department meetings to help drive forward the schools attainment levels
Being involved with the school pastoral system, taking ownership of a form/tutor group and delivering the schools pastoral curriculumThe school are looking for someone who:
Holds qualified teacher status (ECTs Welcome)
Is confident teaching KS3, KS4 and KS5 curriculum (KS5 not essential)
Has excellent classroom control and behaviour management strategies
Is passionate about teaching and keen to ensure that students make continued progress
