is recruiting for a unique Graduate opportunity with a progressive commercial insurance consultancy based in Exeter. This SME is experiencing rapid growth as they continue to forge ahead, and they are seeking an exceptional Graduate to join their team.
Situated in the heart of Exeter, this position offers a dynamic and fast-track career pathway, a comprehensive training program, and the chance to become a specialist in insurance contract analysis and risk assessment. You will work alongside a team of industry experts, gaining invaluable knowledge and experience in a supportive and high-performing environment.

To be considered for this role you will be a Russell Group University Graduate (minimum 2:1) and be academically rigorous with high-level commercial career aspirations. The anticipated start date for this role is May or June 2024.

As a Trainee Contract Analyst, you will be pivotal in supporting the company's clients, contributing to risk analysis projects, and developing solutions that address their unique needs. With a strong focus on professional development, this role provides a genuine progression structure, allowing you to continuously expand your expertise and advance your career within an ambitious and rapidly growing business.

Graduate Trainee Contract Analyst Responsibilities:

Contribute to risk analysis work by liaising with clients to collate and analyse a broad range of documentation.

Interview client personnel to support qualitative analysis of their risk exposures and mitigations.

Analyse large volumes of client documentation (covering operational details and insurance policy components) to identify areas of concern from a risk-led perspective.

Support the development of complex risk analysis reports, and feedback to clients.

Develop and execute solutions for clients, working closely with leading legal barristers/QCs.

Organise and maintain indexes and files, produce topic guides, take notes on client calls, and update client risk prospectuses.

Ensure final policies match quoted versions through thorough document checks.

Graduate Trainee Contract Analyst Requirements:

Recent Graduate with an outstanding academic record

Knowledge and interest in legal/financial services, corporate risk, and the commercial insurance industry

Exceptional attention to detail and strong proofreading abilities

A quick learner, able to absorb new information and challenge ideas

High-level communication skills to convey complex issues clearly and concisely.

A collaborative approach to engaging across the broader team.

The ability to own a problem from formulation to conclusion, driving progression and agreement at each stage.

The desire to learn and continuously develop expertise.

Benefits

Monday – Friday, 8.30am – 5:30pm with a “go home on time” culture encouraged.

Competitive starting salary and generous annual bonuses (up to 20% of salary).

Comprehensive training program to support career development.

Genuine progression and career pathways structure within an ambitious and growing business.

25 days of annual leave and share scheme options.

Potential for hybrid working (1-2 days from home, longer-term).

Statutory pension and other company benefits.

Join a company that values doing the right thing, challenging the status quo, maintaining technical excellence, being a true partner, and focusing on growth and influence. This role offers an exceptional opportunity to kickstart your career in a supportive and dynamic environment within the thriving city of Exeter.
